2008:
| Troop 123 Eagle Scout Darill Louis Niedermeyer |

|
| March 10, 2008 |
Darill
Louis Niedermeyer became a Troop 123 Eagle Scout on March 10, 2008.
Darill earned 21 merit badges on his
path to becoming an Eagle Scout. His favorite merit badges were rifle shooting and camping.
Darill's
favorite Scouting events were attending summer camp at Camp Parsons, and serving as a Counselor in Training for
two years. He also enjoyed all of the 50 mile hikes.
At age 16, Darill joined Venturing Crew 123 while maintaining
his Scout membership in Troop 123. Darill served Troop 123 as its Senior Patrol Leader, and as the Patrol Leader
of the Combat Wombats Patrol. While Darill was Patrol Leader, the Combat Wombats won the Aurora District Camporee
competition.
Darill is is currently a Junior at Nathan Hale High School where he has participated in football for
two years, along with soccer and wrestling. He maintains a 3.5 grade point average while taking Advanced Placement History
and Language Arts.
Darill went to Costa Rica with his Spanish Club this past Spring Break. This
was a challenge for Darill because he had taken three years of French, not Spanish. However, it was one
of the best non-scouting experiences of Darill's life.
Since math comes easy to Darill, he is considering accounting
and business. Darill is looking at colleges for fall 2009. (Last updated May 27, 2008)

| Howard Lincoln (2008) |
Howard Lincoln became a Troop 123
Eagle Scout on April 27, 1955
At the 1953 National Jamboree, with 50,000 Scouts gathered at Irvine, Calif.,
Howard Lincoln’s scoutmaster, Del Anderson, now 98, asked Howard and three other Scouts to set up a campsite on
a hill for artist Norman Rockwell. "It was a hot day. We built the fire, pitched the tents, and got
into our sleeping bags. Rockwell took about 100 photographs."
The result was the famous illustration of a star-filled night,
with four Scouts asleep by the campfire. That's Howard's face showing in the illustration, the first sleeping
Scout in the second tent on the right.
This illustration was the centerpiece for the 1956 Boy Scout calendar.
Rockwell sent Howard Lincoln a check for $5 and a letter of thanks that Howard treasures to this day. On January 27, 2006, Washington Governor Christine Gregoire appointed
Howard Lincoln to Western Washington University's Board of Trustees to fill an unexpired term ending on September 30,
2010. A key player in the formation
of the ownership group that saved the Seattle Mariners in 1992, Howard Lincoln was named chairman and chief executive officer
on September 27, 1999. Mr.
Lincoln retired from his position as chairman of Nintendo of America, Inc. to devote his full efforts to the Mariners on February
14, 2000. He joined Nintendo as its senior vice president and general counsel in January 1983. In February 1994, he was elected
to the board of Nintendo of America, Inc., and appointed chairman of the company. Philanthropy plays an important role in Mr. Lincoln's life. In addition
to his strong support of the Mariners Care Foundation, he serves as chairman of the Children's Hospital Foundation. He
was the 2003-2004 Campaign Chair of the United Way of King County. He serves on the boards of ArtsFund, the Bellevue Boys
& Girls Club, and the Chief Seattle Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Lincoln is a graduate of the University of
California of Berkeley, and holds a law degree from Boalt Hall, the University of California School of Law. Following graduation
from law school, Lincoln served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps from 1966 to 1970. He
practiced law in Seattle from 1970 to 1982. Lincoln lives on Mercer Island with his wife, Grace. Their son Brad and his wife
Kim have two young sons, Ethan and Benjamin.
