1974 Scoutmaster Troy B. Myers is alive and well.  Troy still lives just a few blocks northeast of Whitman School.  Although Troy has long been retired, he volunteers a few days a week in the Gift Shop at Northwest Hospital.

Troy is not absolutely certain of the dates, but he believes that he was a Cub Scout Chairman in 1969, a Cub Scout Master in 1970, Troop 123's Committee Chairman for 1971 through 1972, and Scoutmaster in 1974.

At that time, the District was the Cascade District with approximately 70 Boy Scout Troops, and 110 Cub Scout Packs.  Troy was the 1976 Chairman of the Cascade District, just before it was absorbed into the Aurora District.  Troy says that:  "If any of these points are disputed I'll fold like wet cardboard."

In this 1973 photograph Troy is standing next to his son, Doyle Meyers.  (Last revised September 27, 2008)
